The Little Duck by Judy Dunn

Title: The Little Duck
Author:
Judy Dunn
Series: Random House Pictureback series
Major Themes:
Ducks, Picture Books
Synopsis:
The life story of a duck, from being a duckling through adulthood.

The Little Duck is a cute story of a duck growing up. The photographs are very interesting, with just a little text next to each one  to explain the duck’s growth. I enjoyed this story when I was younger, and I’m sure the little people in your life will love it, too!

A little boy finds a duck egg, and after taking it home he puts it in an incubator to keep warm. Eventually, Henry the duck hatches out, and with lots of loving care he soon grows up to be a big duck.  He makes friends with lots of barnyard animals, and enjoys playing in the pool that the boy sets up for him. But what happens when the pool becomes too small for Henry?

No warnings!
