Synopsis: Two teams of men explore Mount Ararat, searching for Noah’s Ark, and face many dangers in the process.
I remember reading and enjoying the Creation Adventure series many years ago, probably when I was around 10-12 years old. I really enjoyed them then, and, now that I read Mystery of the Ark to my children, they loved it.
Two teams of explorers were climbing around on Mount Ararat, searching for the Ark. One team was dropped off by helicopter up high on the glaciers. (One detail we found fascinating about that was the effect of thin air on the performance of helicopters!) This team used radar to search for objects under the ice—until they were chased off the mountain by bandits!
The other team started up from the bottom of the mountain, braving scorching sunshine and dysentery as they searched. With advice from a local chieftain, they found some fascinating sites—and nearly got themselves killed by a rockslide.
Is the Ark still on the mountain? Will it ever be found? No one knows, but as this story vividly illustrates, there are many dangers to be faced before it can be found. Anyone who enjoys adventure will like this book.
WARNING: In chapter 1, page 18, one of the men considers shooting a bandit.
