Synopsis: In over a hundred short stories and poems, more than 20 mothers share bits of their lives as an encouragement to other Christian mothers.
Once in a while, I buy a book just for me. When I ordered schoolbooks recently, I decided to add Fingerprints: Bits & Pieces of Motherhood to the order, just for myself. Sometimes I need the reminder that being a mother is a wonderful place to be! Yes, I know it is, and I know it is the right place for me and I love my job, but a book like this one is a wonderful encouragement.
There are well over a hundred stories and poems in this compilation, from around 20 different writers. Each mother who wrote for this collection has shared some experiences from her life. Some are quite humorous, and I found myself chuckling along with them as I identified with the tales. Some tugged at my heartstrings, as they had at the author’s, and some were simply quite uplifting. All were encouraging!
All the stories and poems in Fingerprints are short, from half a page to half a dozen pages. They are just right to read one or two at a time, as you find the time and need a quick lift. Having this book on my nightstand so I could get a little encouragement just before going to bed was great for me! I highly recommend this little book to all Christian mothers. You will find things in it that are just what you need.
