Synopsis: When he heard of a pictograph in the Amazon rain forest that appeared to depict a dinosaur with several humans, Vance Nelson had to go check it out for himself.
We’ve been slowly working our way through the Untold Secrets of Planet Earth series, and reached the last one, Amazon Expedition. This book is very short, compared to the others, and is a paperback, whereas the rest that we have are hardcovers. It only took us a week or two to read through it together at the rate of a couple of pages a day, in contrast to the other four books which took several months each.
In this book, Vance Nelson describes his journey into the Amazon rainforest in Peru to check out a pictograph for himself. He had seen photographs of this pictograph, which appears to show a dinosaur of some sort surrounded by several people. He wanted to see it firsthand before accepting this as evidence of dinosaurs living with humans and to do some tests on it to authenticate its antiquity.
Mr. Nelson describes the locality in which this pictograph is found, and the man who discovered and studied it extensively. He includes excerpts from some video interviews he did with Dr. Guevara, and describes the process used to scientifically authenticate the age of this artifact.
We found the pictures and text in Amazon Expedition very interesting. The scenery pictures alone in this beautiful book are well worth spending some time with, but the subject matter is also extremely interesting. It is obvious to any unbiased observer that the animal pictured is a dinosaur. This book is another great resource to help our children understand the problems with the evolutionary worldview and the dates used by most secular scientists.
