Synopsis: Beautiful illustrations help tell the story of the earliest days of mankind in this gorgeous hardcover book.
I like to read to the children from a Bible story book every morning, and I also like to read from a picture book having to do with history, science, or Creation. The True Account of Adam and Eve fits both of those descriptions. It is a beautiful, hardcover book that tells the story of the earliest days of mankind.
The first part of this book talks a lot about how perfectly Adam’s brain worked, and how perfect the world was as God first made it. How hard would it be for you to name all the animals? Adam’s perfect brain would have had no trouble coming up with all those names! By doing this, Adam realized that he was alone. But, God had a plan to compensate for this. . . .
Enter: Eve! God instituted marriage here, and it was good. God gave Adam and Eve their instructions for life, to reproduce and not to touch one particular tree. Everything was absolutely perfect. Why, then, is there so much sadness and pain in today’s world? The answer is clearly shown, as well as the solution God has provided.
As I said, The True Account of Adam and Eve is a gorgeous hardcover book. The illustrations are beautiful, full-color paintings that nearly glow. My younger children have spent a lot of time studying them. This is the kind of book I love to have laying around for people to pick up and look at. Just the beauty of this book is inspiring, let alone the subject matter! This one is a keeper, as is the companion book, which we’re reading at the moment: The True Story of Noah’s Ark.
